I've been enjoying Jamibug's
 work for a long time here on DA, but things just hadn't worked out timing-wise for me to commission him. I really wanted to, because he does simply splendid work, and his style is perfect for a bunch of my characters. Go check out his gallery--some very cool girls there with a pulpy vibe. I mean, who doesn't love rocketgirls?Anyway, when I saw he was doing a special, I was on that like white on rice. I just love the result! The black and white really suits the Shrike, and I have a love for sharp clean bold linework like this. Jami really 'gets' the character (I knew he would!) and the pose and expression are spot-on. It makes me hope to someday see him do a more extensive piece featuring the Shrike. Thank you, Jamibug, for doing such an excellent piece, and for leaving me wanting more! Art by Character by me |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
