Keelerleah is an amazingly talented artist who creates works of depth and beauty. Please do yourself a favor and go see her work--it's worth a trip, I assure you. I've been hoping to get a commission from her for ages, and finally decided to take the leap. I knew that I wanted one of her lovely elves, and so I selected my LoTRO character, Meneliel, Elven smith and guardian of Imladris.
Frankly, there's not much I can really say to do this justice. It's stunning, it's breathtaking, it's beautiful. I can lose myself in it. The amount of detail is mind-boggling; I can stare at this for ages. That dress alone is perfectly detailed; I can practically touch the fabric. That gleaming sword, that delicate jewelry! I want it all.
The background seems to place her in the mountains around her hidden home. Her pose and expression are perfect for the character--serene, thoughtful, yet watchful. There's an almost Greco-Roman look to this that I would have never thought of, yet I adore. This is simply about the finest depiction of this character I've ever seen: Meneliel, her gleaming sword new from the forges, an Elf beautiful and ageless, feminine and yet ready to spring fiercely to her lord's defense. Just wow.
Thank you, Keelerleah, for creating such a perfect and beautiful piece of art.
