"I will sing you to me."

Journal Entry: Tue May 19, 2009, 7:05 AM

A little over a year ago, PinUp Girl met Proud Citizen in the MMORPG City of Heroes, and I had the great good fortune of getting to know PC's player, WemblyFraggle :iconwemblyfraggle:. The two heroes hit it off, and so we became gaming buddies, and then friends. And then more than friends.

He asked me to come and visit him in Australia, and I said I would. We are both very fond of the movie Australia, and he promised he would sing me to him. We talked every day, and every day he sang to me, as he promised. Days passed, months passed, and then suddenly we were holding each other in a busy airport, trembling and barely able to speak from excitement and nerves.

For three weeks, he showed me some of his beautiful country, and I fell in love with it just as I had fallen in love with him. Yes, winter came early; it was chilly and wet and windy, and I contracted a nasty cold. But he took care of me, and looked after me, and together we had many fun adventures--cruising Sydney harbor in a tall ship, feeding kangaroos, eating crocodile, cheering at the Outback Spectacular. It was the most wonderful and romantic three weeks of my life, and it ended all too quickly.

So now I'm home, and missing him awfully, and counting the days until he's here in July. I have lots planned for him, including introducing him to real Tex-Mex. The man has never had the real thing. We tried 'fajitas' Down Under and, well, they weren't quite right (but a good try).

It is a truth universally acknowledged that if two people can cheerfully share a bathroom for three weeks, it bodes well for their future relationship.

Who'd have thought that over so many years and so many miles, we could find each other? I guess sometimes miracles do happen.

I love seeing what other people come up with using my characters. If there's any information you need that you can't find on those pages, just contact me.

Speaking of which--please see my Shoutboard for the wonderful gift and request art I have received. I finally figured out how to use thumbnails. Computer-savvy I am not.

Also, I would just like to state unequivocally that I am in love with WemblyFraggle :iconwemblyfraggle: and he is my sweetie. That is all.

Thanks to the awesome and generous ProfessorBlues :iconprofessorblues:, who has some of the best characters and most gorgeous commissions, there are now stamps for the Masked Shrike and PinUp Girl! Thank you, ProfessorBlues.

And now I can have some fun stamps on my page too. Yay!

I've found some neat clubs here, too.

He does! I've passed it along ;) But neither of us know how to make one. Hmmmm...would be a good project for us to try!
I could try a hand at it. Been thinking of starting stamp-making for artists and fans to show appreciation, since I lack any other creative talent :p

You made some excellent stamps, hon, so I am sure anything you come up with would make my attempts look pretty laughable! Creativity is not my strong point ;)
Alrighty, I'll experiment with a few samples of Proud Citizen's art and I'll see what I can come up with :)

Clementine: This is it, Joel. It\'s going to be gone soon.
Joel: I know.
Clementine: What do we do?
Joel: Enjoy it.
